So my theory is that the best place to run away from the police would be at a crowded bus station.
If you think about it not only is is the best place to run while surrounded by people it is also the best place to get away fast.
I spend alot of time riding the bus in Ottawa. The public Transit here is fast, semi-reliable and on time and goes pretty much everywhere. Naturally with riding on buses comes waiting at stations. It was at a local station while waiting for my connection I had this thought.
When a person is running at a station is is generally assumed they are running to catch their bus and people get out of their way. Similarly if you where to hear yelling you assume it is just someone yelling for the bus to stop and you don’t pay much attention. So if you saw someone running towards you, you would not only get out of their way in a hurry, you might also stop the bus to ensure they got on it. The same courtesies would not be applied in a busy street where people would not move and someone may even stop you for running.
So in the event you are running from the police, may I suggest bus stations as a handy way to make a speedy get away.
