Go ahead kid, play with fire

While browsing the newspaper the other day....ahem, I mean I was watching the girls and not reading the paper, it, um, fell open and I happened to glance at an article...ah...
Anyways *insert awkward laugh, I read this article about a month ago and it put me onto this Blog which I LOVE and now read regularly.

Bubble-wrapped children are missing out on a real childhood, a new book claims. Shannon Proudfoot reports on the backlash against hyper-parenting.

Free Range Kids
How to raise safe, self-reliant children (without going nuts with worry)
Lenore Skenazy

This is for all the people who overprotect their kids these days and think they can keep them safe from harm.  What they are actually doing is depriving their children of opportunities to explore and become independent. Thus forcing them to be those 30-something-olds who still live with their parents.
It's sad really.  Specially cos I have little patience for these types of people.

>>Side note, if you drop a baby they do bounce.  Not that I've tried it :) (Or recommend it)
