I know I completely missed the Fall Update, but here is the Winter version just in time for our first (little) snowfall.
We celebrated our 2nd Wedding Anniversary with a trip to Montreal, dinner and 2 concerts. Not too shabby. So to all the people who thought we where just another ship romance, TAKE THAT! Plus our friends and other former ship couple Adam and Laura just had their second baby. Congrats on Baby Freddie guys.
Steve is back at school and hard at work. It takes a surprising ammount of time to get all those A+'s he is soo crazy about. This semester he is taking (among other things) Calculus and so far getting great marks, as usual. I am soo proud of how hard he works and the results he gets. I am glad he is doing what he loves, even if it means he is reading text books ALL the time.
I started a new job in September. It was all very rushed with me giving no notice to my previous Nanny job. Luckily they were very accommodating. I am working as an Instructor Therapist at a private centre for children with Autism. They use the ABA method there which I am learning. It is a step in the right direction for me and I have some great kids I am working with, even if they make me sick.
When I am not at work I am busy with my volunteer job at CityKidz. It has started with a bang and we are 3 sessions in now. We have a steady group of children who are coming every week and hope to build on that come March. Although it is a lot of extra work the rewards are amazing as we begin to build relationships with the kids.
We are still attending Peace Tower Church where we have made many new friends. We are part of their Young Married group which meets every second Friday. Steve joined the technical team and helps out with sound when he can and I with Sunday School.
And the thing I am most excited about it that this Christmas Steve and I are heading to California! My Mom and Brian are having all the kids come for Christmas, even Matteo from NZ. It will be a welcome break from the snow and a fun trip. My Mom started planning for it months ago so it will undoubtedly be wonderfully busy.
So that's us for the moment. Busy to say the least.
