It seems as if every time we have a thaw people think that this is the end of winter. This month we are going on our third so far.
Each one is followed by warmer then 0 weather and this seems to indicate to some people to break out the shorts and bikes. The another snowstorm hits and we are again faced with snow, then the inevitable ice/slush combination as it doesn't stay very long. Take this morning for instance. A friend and I were on the phone deliberating what to do with this beautiful day. We agreed a walk by the canal would be nice. Then I checked the weather report. It appears appearances are deceiving. What looks like a warm sunny day outside in in fact -9 (feels like -16). Not the best weather for a walk. The moral? Don't go outside if you can help it till at least the end of April. Don't make any outside plans till the end of April and most importantly Don't change out of that winter coat and boots, better to be warm then frozen.
