Yes it has been a looong loong time since I have updated the ol' blog and I have lots of things to say.  However right now I am feeling quite fuzzy on Benedryl thanks to a wee reaction to a tetanus shot this morning (work was interesting this afternoon let me tell you).

Anyways for now a wee list of bullet points will have to do

• My heart mourns for the loss my country is currently facing die to the devastating earthquake recently.  Stay strong Christchurch and know that Kiwis the world over are praying for you.
• My new job is going well.  The amazingness of this opportunity to begin my career is by no means lost on me and I am very thankful to the people who have helped to make this happen.
• We had a great trip to California for Christmas as you can tell by the FB album, which I am sure you have all checked out.
• Congratulations are in order for my friends with new babies; Rebecca and Poppy, Helen and Jaxon, Katie and Mason.  I cannot wait to meet them all!
• Steve is doing well in school and has gotten the prestigious job as a research assistant over the summer.  This means both experience and steady work which will be great for both of us.
• Life in Ottawa is still below freezing but we are happy.  Special shout-out to my new friends and thank you for the support.  I couldn't do it without the tea parties and sleepovers.  You girls rock!
