Kudos to you Mr Nice Bus Man

Riding the bus is always an interesting experience.
There are many bus protocols one must follow and some that people often choose to blatantly ignore. For instance the time old, move for the pregnant lady, person with push chair, person of older persuasion or person with physical difficulties.
This seems to always be observed in the case of a person with a push chair, but only sometimes in the other cases.  In my experince the ladies are more likely then males to move for anyone on the above list.  There are of course those few males who wil move everytime.  They are usually older, fatherly looking types in their 40s.
I ride 4 buses a day Monday to friday.  Usually the same buses at the same time.  In doing this you become used to your usual bus crowd.
On my last evening bus I have ancountered an anomoly.  The always Mr Nice Bus man.  This guy has consistantly moved from his seat for those in need, calls out if he sees someone running to the bus, moves out of the way for others, puts an arm out to help those in need and is generally just a nice guy.  I dedicate this to you MR NICE BUS MAN you reinstill my faith in people doing the right thing in a world of ipod wearing kids stuck in their own worlds.

  1. Bahahaha, I am an ipod wearing kid who protests the self-righteous "I-live-in-a-bubble" attitude of the pram ladies who frequent my cafe. No you may not let your child hit the person next to them, and yes you will apologise, if, whilst trying to talk on the phone and push your double-width pram you smack into me or someone else. Wide-load-middle-aged-wealthy-pram-ladies of the world, watch out!

(note how by specifying middle ages/wealthy I left young, considerate nannies such as yourself out of the equation...)
