The Star Trek Saga

Well as you may or may not know Steve and I recently finished Star Trek Season One. 

It began after we went to see the latest Star Trek movie.  Now what I knew about ST was pretty limited.  I knew about the strange breed of geek; the trekkies, I knew about Clingons and the Starship Enterprise.  But I didnt really know much about the show. 

With the movie I was in for a surprise.  It was pretty good and had me thinking, Ok if this is Star Trek perhaps I have been thinking about it in the wrong light the whole time.  So after a little persuausion from Steve we began at the begginning.  I quickly discovered ST is pretty cool.  The characters are funny. the plots, set and costumes are all way out there and the stars are what make the show.  The thing is it works.  

I began to understand the in-jokes I had missed before.  I began to be able to immitate the famous Captain Kirk stammer.  Before I know it we where one of those couples who, when given a choice, chose to watch an episode of Star Trek.  Surprising I know, but in a funny way it makes sense.
We are now onto Season 2 and going strong.  There is alot to be learned from Star Trek.  Universal themes that run through every show.  Do I sound demented?  I think so :)
