Well this is what I get for being presumptuous.
In the last week we have had more snowfall then in the last 2 months. As if God is saying 'Hey Im not done yet'. Above is a photo of the snow during Day 1.
The bus ride to work all week has been interesting as we have been sliding around corners, hitting curbs and narrowly missing cars. You would think that its colder when its snowing right? It's actually colder right before it snows. And snowflakes, dont even get me started on how cool snowflakes are. I thought that the shapes i had always associated with snowflakes where only to be seen under a microscope. But then i encountered super snowflakes. These are huge clumps if inteterconnecting snowflakes that combine to make beautiful patterns. I stand waiting for my bus with my hands out to catch the flakes as they fall so I can closer examine them. My childlike wonder at their shapes is contrasted by the sideways glanses I get from the other bus goers who look at me like I am on drugs.
For the record I am not.
Plus I have discovered there are many different types of snow. Sticky now; that sticks to trees and railings and makes everything beautiful, wet snow; that is like rainfall, Sharp snow; that hurts when it hits you in the face. My favourite is definitely sticky. Although it is the most beautiful it is also the most dangerous as this is the type to bring down powerlines.

All part of my ongoing Canadian education. There is so much to learn when you move to a new country.
