So I have pages in my notebook with scrawls of ideas for Blog posts and....
no motivation to actually write any of them on my one day off a week. Instead I'm sitting in bed at 2:30pm on a Saturday with the blinds drawn watching shows I would rather not admit to on mtv.ca.
But the intent is there, just putting it out there. Next week I will do better I promise.
Anyways, "Tell us about the cruise" I hear you ask. Well it was pretty awesome. Apart from the part where I got sick that was. Not sea sick just run of the mill head cold sick. I know boohoo for me on a Cruise ship in Mexico with a cold. Well take my work it did put a slight damper on the festivities.
It took a little while for me to shake that guilty feeling that I was doing something wrong. Ship people will understand what I mean when I tell them I; ate by the windows, left my plates on the table and sunbathed on a sea day. Naturally I was able to nobly shake this feeling and work on being a passenger.
What I really wanted to ask was:
"Is there an elevator to take me from the back to the front of the ship?"
"What time is the Midnight Buffet?"
"Can you please ask the captain to stop the ship from moving so much"
and of course :"Is the water in my toilet salt water?"
Time honoured classics.
All this aside my Mom and I did have a wonderful time and was a great opportunity for us to spend some quality time together. It was delightfully relaxing and the food in the dining room was surpringly good, considering the crap they serve their crew. We shopped, ate, sunbathed, went to seminars, saw every show and generally had a good time. The comedian onboard Carlos Someoneorrather was actually funny and the some of the shows where actually good. As usual the cocktails where fabulous as was the service. Man those dining room staff work their butts off.
